Mercenaries can be hired by anyone with enough money, be that heroes in need of support or villains in need of protection from said heroes.
Horakles of Hylaios hails from Rethis, the capital of the Cyclopes Islands, located on the second largest island Hylailos. There he trained as a warrior at the local academy and now is a master of a weapon called Pailos (named after the largest of the Cyclopes Island)
By some a Pailos considered a barbaric weapon, his is a family heirloom, forged by a cyclops some generations ago from folded Toshkril Steel (+3 DP) and well balanced for attack (+2 AT modifier)
The advantage Rich X covers this valuable weapon as well as an reinforced Linothorax armour (Armory 109, modified to PRO 3).
The combat style taught at the academy (see compendium pages 149, 159 & 195) includes a very athletic part of using jump attacks (compendium 163). To help him with that Horakles has a very high Body Control skill specialised in jumping and supported by the Athlete special ability (compendium 104).
Against multiple foes a Mighty Sweep ( compendium 163) can hit up to 3 enemies.
Defensively he is a Rugged Fighter and can use Shield Cover (compendium 164) when working with other shield bearing fighters.
He is a good looking and principled guy with a sense of honour, loyal and trying to protect the weak. This would make him a hero himself or someone willing to help the heroes of your group. However he has the negative trait Gullible and this naivety might lead him to support a cunning villain without realising that he is on the wrong side of the conflict. And even realising it puts him in an inner conflict between his loyalty and whatever evil deeds he might have committed unwillingly.
