NPC Wednesdays #54

Branwen is a...Druid.

Those that know of her magical abilities might think she is a Witch (Red Hair and her Staff could be a Broom?) Or perhaps a Guild Mage close to nature. Maybe just a magical dilettante due to some elven blood. And most Druids are traditionally men, so she is a rather rare sight. As she tends to stay near her stone circle to guard it, a task she inherited from her mentor, she is seldom seen at all.

If someone intrudes on her circle she is not meeting them head on. Rather it seems to be nature that is preventing people to reach the circle of ancient stones. Mysterious fog and schemes of Darkness easily keep the superstitious folk away, Some just suddenly fell asleep in the woods and wake up later outside. Hailstorms discourage and even the plants seem to hinder the approach. Branwen is an expert in calling elemental servants and occasionally Djinni, mostly of Humus and often easily mistaken for a bush.

Why does the stone circle need the protection of generations of druids? Leylines meet there, that could fuel sinister rituals. In Albernia gates to the fairy realms are never far. And who knows what stories Branwen could tell if she can be convinced to trust outsiders.

Congratulations to Anna S. for guessing right, we are already working on her pick of NPC.
