Seli grew up in the small Barony Friedland (Peaceland) where, inbetween the Bloodridge Mountains and the River Swellt a community of mostly Humans but also a few Orks live in harmony. Though founded by a disgraced noble, hiding under a false name from Middenrealm authorities, the community Friedland is built on an almost democratic/anarchistic worldview.
This worldview does not help Seli in the real world. He was destined to become a Witch but his Teacher died and Selis talent whithered. Still his remaining magical abilities make him a good veterinarian and he even has a kind of familiar.
