Bornish peasants live a harsh life especially if their local noble Bronnjar is the traditionally cruel type. As only the nobility is allowed to hunt, the peasants can’t even fill their starving stomachs with the abundance of wildlife, not daring to risk the wrath of the Bronnjars.
Karinja isn’t afraid and wants to help the poor peasants. She hunts and delivers the food to those most in need in disguise with a false beard.
The peasants speak of the unknown hunter almost as a saint and have named him Rowin the Green, while the local Bronnjars try to hunt him down, determined to not let that mysterious person endanger the centuries old privileges.
In truth Karinja is herself from a Bronnjar family but where her family is quite progressive most of the neighbours are not.
So far her secret has not been discovered and while her heritage might reduce any sentence, it is a risky game she plays.
