Aurelian Burkherdall is quite gifted in alchemy. After learning and teaching profane alchemy he became a quality auditor. On behalf of the church of Praios he travels around the middenrealm, trying to visit each lab at least once a year for a quality audit. He will check that the lab does not produce any illegal substances outlawed by the Codex Wehrheimium, but he will also attest good laboratory practices. While this might put him at odds with the practices of a herbal witch, he does not hold prejudices against magic users. He sees his duty to Praios not by banishing magic but by ensuring that anyone can buy (legal) alchemy products of good quality without fear of improper ingredients risking health and sanity.
