About 30 years ago, the magic academy in Vinsalt, also called the institute of anatomy, switched allegiance from the gray mage guild to the white mage guild. While the reasons were mainly political in nature to appease Empress Amene-Horas, one of the consequences was that magical beauty treatments, performed by the magic ritual Transmutare, were forbidden. This drove away some of the mages and instead of serving the elite of Vinsalt in their beauty problems some of these mages turned to the lucrative underworld.

The Transmutare ritual can in 2 hours, for a cost of 48 AsP transform the appearance of someone for up to QL x 3 Weeks. The ritual is originally known to witches only but quite a few guild mages from Vinsalt had picked it as their single spell from an unfamiliar tradition they can treat as one of their own tradition.

Like Albin Melior, who knows the ritual very well. He even can make the new body stronger, tougher and/or more agile, change gender, body mass and even species.

For a while he found refuge at the black academy School of Pain in Elburum, but after Oron fell, he returned to Vinsalt and quickly established himself again.

If you need an untraceable assassin or just need to go undercover for a few weeks to travel while hunted, Albin is the one to trust. And he has „friends“ in high (and low) places that will protect their asset at all cost.

For exorbitant fees he would also travel to other cities to perform pre paid procedures.
